My Chimney sweep says I need a new chimney liner. Can I just burn firelogs instead of real wood?

It doesn't matter what you burn! If the chimney liner is damaged it needs to be replaced before building any kind of fire in the stove or fireplace connected to that chimney. Get three bids if possible, just to make sure you aren't getting "burned".
