Spending the summer in Compton, tips on how to survive?

I'm going to Compton to spend the summer with my uncle. I'm from North Andover Machusetts, and i'm petrified. I figured if i can't beat them, join them. I plan to pretend to be a crip in order to get love from the entire neighborhood, survive, plus add some street cred. What should i do to make sure that i pull off the crip role perfectly.
