When will this water weight go away?

First I just want to say that my son and I both must have angels watching over us, we are both lucky to be here. I was induced at 37 weeks and 6 days because I have a gall bladder issue, my doctor said this was the thing to do because he wanted to avoid a c-section. Everything was going well until they discovered the prolapsed cord. Emergency c-section here I come! We are both ok, he was 8.5 pounds, but now my feet, calves, knees, thighs and hips are swollen beyond all belief. It makes it very hard to get around and do the things I need to do, including taking care of my son. So I was wondering how long will I be swollen like this?
