Thyrod Problem-need doctor advice?

My wife , aged 45 was diagnosed for thyrod problem.In her TSH report, value comes 9.51 whereas ref. range as per report is 0.25 to 5.00. Her Hb is 6 Gms only. During the past 7-8 months, there was major hair fall. Her Gall Blader was removed about 3 years ago due to stone.We at present consulting ENT specialst. I want advice to which specialist should I consult. Is ENT specialist ok?Her doctor advise her to take one tablet Eltroxin 50 Mg daily. Is this dieses curable or remain with life?
