Stargate universe has come to the last season. Does this mean Stargate franchise will come to an end ? :(?

Considering how badly the producers killed the franchise and alienated not only the long term fans but the critics, it's doubtful the franchise will ever recover unless the entire regime is fired and they start from scratch with a completely new production team. It's possible that with time the animosity will fade, if MGM gets some new blood and the new folks play nice. Of course, they'd have to put their money where their mouth is and produce a quality product as well, to help rid the franchise of the stench from SGU and its creators.
