I also have an acer and this happened to me. Called the guys at acer and the said I should do a return to factory settings. I reccommend you call them and ask how, or read your manual. You will lose all info on drive C. If that doesn't work you got a hardware problem and you need take it to a specialist. I believe it is the latter, as windows report problems with devices (they do not have to be externally connected, it could mean the separate internal components of your laptop)
