I have a new telescope?

It is a Busnell, it came with a decent tripod, 2x barlow lens, 4mm, 8mm, 12.5mm lens. I was looking at Jupiter with the 2x barlow and 4mm lens, every time I tried to focus in on it the telescope moved and threw of my object. Seems to me if I wanted a telescope to see even further I would have to get a better tripod. Does anyone know what I can do to see further with better stability. it is a refractor telescope, I paid 350.00 canadian for it.
